Switching from a stand-alone installation

You can switch from a stand-alone installation to a client-/server setup with following steps:

1. Exit all stand-alone PhraseExpress clients in your environment except the one PhraseExpress client that has the phrases library loaded you wish being shared by the SQL server.
2. Install and run the PhraseExpress SQL Client Manager on a central computer (a "Server PC"), preferably the computer running the SQL server.
3. The PhraseExpress client will automatically connect to the Microsoft SQL server and will convert & transfer the local phrase file to the SQL server.
4. Launch all other PhraseExpress clients which automatically connect to the SQL server.

If the clients do not connect, try connecting them manually.
