1. Switch to any app that can receive text.
2. Tap the globe key to switch to the PhraseExpress keyboard.
3. Tap the PhraseExpress speech bubble symbol and select the desired phrase from the phrase menu. Tap or swipe back & forth between multi-level folders.
4. Once you release the finger, the phrase will be pasted into the app.

The PhraseExpress keyboard is disabled in password input dialogs, Apple login, or phone related input dialogs. 3rd party apps may reject custom keyboards for security reasons, such as banking apps.

Apple iOS only grants limited memory to 3rd party keyboard, so the phrase file you can use with the PhraseExpress keyboard is quite limited. If syncing with a desktop OS, avoid formatted text and/or bitmaps. Alternatively, use the App instead the PhraseExpress keyboard to insert phrases.

• PhraseExpress keyboard installation

1. Tap the globe key to switch to the PhraseExpress keyboard.
2. Tap into the target App and enter the Autotext of the desired phrase.
   
   Alternatively, enter the Autotext of a phrase folder and select the desired phrase from the phrase menu.

1. Launch the PhraseExpress App.
2. Navigate to the desired phrase and tap the Share icon to copy the phrase into the clipboard.
3. If the phrase contains macro functions prompting for user input, enter corresponding information.
4. Switch to the target App and paste the clipboard contents.

Modern iPads can show the PhraseExpress App next to another App in "SplitView", making it easy to paste phrases:

1. Open to the target App you want to insert a phrase.
2. Swipe from right to the left to activate "SplitView".
3. Select the PhraseExpress App as the secondary App.
4. Navigate to desired phrase and tap the Share icon to copy the phrase into the clipboard.
5. Paste the clipboard into the target app.
